KAI SOTTO stunned fans with life-changing news—he’s about to become a father.
The Gilas Pilipinas standout revealed the surprise in a heartfelt social media post, marking a major new chapter off the court.
“We’re having a baby,” Sotto announced.
The revelation comes just days after his intimate wedding to Rere Madrid in Cavite, attended by only family and close friends—making the moment even more meaningful.
“For a while, we’ve been living in our own little world, holding onto a secret that made every day feel like an adventure,” Sotto shared.
“Every moment, every plan, every quiet smile—it was all for you. And now, we finally get to share it.
“Our greatest adventure is just beginning, and you’re already the best part of it.”
As excitement builds, Sotto also got fans involved, teasing them with one final question:
“Now, team GIRL or team BOY?”
Sotto is not part of the Gilas Pilipinas squad that will compete in the third window of the FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers set in Auckland, New Zealand and Perth, Australia.
Gilas will first face New Zealand on July 3 in Auckland, followed by Australia on July 6 in Perth.
The team is scheduled to depart on Tuesday for Auckland to continue its training camp.
