West Ham United have announced the departure of assistant coach Mark Warburton.

Warbuton had been on the backroom staff of manager David Moyes.

Moyes said: I would like to thank Mark for all of his hard work and support during his time here. He's played an important role for us over the last 12 months and has been a great help to me personally.

However, with his aspirations to seek a more senior position elsewhere, we felt it was the right time to agree to part ways. On behalf of all of the players and staff, I wish Mark every success in the future."

Warburton said: I am hugely grateful to West Ham United and, in particular, David Moyes for the opportunity to work for this fantastic football club.

I've enjoyed my time here but, at this stage of my career, I am keen to seek new opportunities at a more senior level that are aligned with the attributes I believe I have to offer.

I wish everyone at West Ham well and will always have fond memories of my time here."
