West Ham boss David Moyes was pleased with Nayef Aguerd's debut in victory over Silkeborg.
A preseason injury had prevented the summer signing from taking the field until now.
After the Europa Conference League win, Moyes said: "It was probably the perfect game for him to come back.
"There wasn't a lot of contact. He started flagging around 60 minutes and we got him off. We think he'll be a fantastic player."
On whether Aguerd will feature against Manchester United at the weekend, he added: "It's too soon for him. We know what he's got but we want to put him out in the right condition."
