West Ham boss David Moyes says they deserved their win against Europa Conference League opponents Silkeborg.
The Irons won 1-0 thanks to Manuel Lanzini on the night.
Moyes said: "I thought we did enough to get two or three goals. I wouldn't put it simply down to poor finishing, but decisions in the final third more generally. We still had chances, and two or three players who probably should have got themselves a goal."
On the tight turnaround before Sunday's Premier League game, he added: "It's really difficult. We played Monday so we had two days and there was a real risk if we lost to Silkeborg we would have to go to Anderlecht without a full squad.
"The Premier League is thick and fast for everyone.
"I'm thrilled to be in European competition and we have to take the medicine that comes with it."
