West Ham goalscorers Jarrod Bowen and Gianluca Scamacca admits victory over Wolves was a must.
Both attackers struck for the 2-0 wn.
Bowen said, "It was just what we needed. We've not had the start we wanted. In the international break we regrouped our thoughts. Be a bit more clincial and a bit more dominant with our performance.
"We're a tough group to beat and break down. Two chances, two well-taken goals - and a clean sheet. It's a massive three points. We've got a lot of games coming up. It's really important. We've gone behind too many times and we're always chasing the game.
"It was my first Premier League goal of the season. It's a massive weight off my shoulders. I had a couple of chances today. When you're not scoring sometimes things don't drop for you. But I always do the basics and have the belief. I'm delighted with the goal and victory.
"I don't get caught up with the noise outside."
Scamacca added: "It was amazing. We needed to win. Today we worked very hard. We needed a victory. Today it was so important to win. Keep going."
