West Ham United are working hard to sign Paris Saint Germain centre-back Thilo Kehrer.
The German international is a hot property late in the transfer window, even though PSG may want to keep him.
According to the Evening Standard, Hammers boss David Moyes is desperate for defensive recruits before the window closes.
He believes that Kehrer has the defensive qualities and ball playing abilities to succeed in the Premier League.
Kehrer has only 12 months remaining on his PSG contract, which should lower the fee West Ham have to pay for him.
The club are also chasing Chelsea left-back Emerson Palmieri.
