Iga Swiatek is widely recognised as one of the greatest tennis players on the planet and quite possibly a future all-time great.
The Polish star has already won six Grand Slam titles by the age of 24, and could add another to her collection when she competes at the French Open in a couple of months.
Last year, Swiatek had the opportunity to go and watch a certified all-time great basketball player at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
That player was Stephen Curry, the former MVP and four-time NBA champion.

Steph Curry is a basketball legend: a marksman who has made the most three-pointers in NBA history and is the only unanimous NBA MVP in history.
Iga Świątek had the opportunity to see Curry play live in March last year. Swiatek attended the Golden State Warriors game against the Charlotte Hornets, which the Warriors won 119-101.
“I loved watching this game,” Swiatek told the WTA Tour.
“I was super grateful for the reception, because, I don’t know, I wasn’t really expecting that. It was amazing and I really appreciate that.”
“It was more like a 6-love, 6-love match kind of,” she said, laughing. “So it wasn’t really super exciting till the end. They were winning it pretty easily.
“But still, watching Steph live was amazing, and, for sure, you can see the skills straightaway.
“I also thought about how it is for him when everybody just expects from him to have these three-point shots. I really, really respect how he manages that.”
Iga Swiatek’s performance at Indian Wells 2025
Swiatek was in San Francisco ahead of her participation in Indian Wells: a Californian WTA 1000 event.
Swiatek, who was defending her 2024 title, defeated Caroline Garcia, Dayana Yastremska and Karolina Muchova to reach the quarter-finals.
There, she beat Qinwen Zheng 6-3, 6-3, setting up a clash with 18-year-old Mirra Andreeva in the semi-finals.
Andreeva, the ninth seed, stunned Swiatek 6-7, 6-1, 3-6, advancing to the championship match against Aryna Sabalenka.
Andreeva defeated top seed Sabalenka, winning her second WTA 1000 tournament in as many events.
