During the latest episode of his self-named podcast, Simmons shared his unfiltered reaction to the Brown trade.
“I think I’m dead. I think I died. The anesthesia killed me. I was just trying to process it. … it’s like I had the head injured. I’m like, are there more first-round picks?” Simmons began.
He added, “When this trade happened, I had a camera up my a__, and I had Paul George rammed up my a__. That’s how I’m going to remember July 1, 2026.”
Now, that’s one unforgettable way to learn that your favorite NBA team has traded its second-best player to their conference rivals. At the end of the day, George is still a fine player, but injuries have been creeping up on him in the last few years.
That’s the biggest concern that Celtics fans have. But can George prove his doubters wrong or will it go down as the worst decision made by Brad Stevens’ front office? Only time will tell.
