
- Israel has introduced a raft of retaliatory actions in response to trade sanctions imposed by Andy Burnham against illegal Israeli settlements.
- The foreign minister Gideon Saar confirmed the most significant step is shutting down the British consulate in Jerusalem, a decision made in coordination with Benjamin Netanyahu.
- Additionally, 12 elected British representatives are to be barred from Israel, alongside other figures " who are involved in anti-Israeli and anti-Semitic activities".
- Israel plans to "expel British representatives in from the International Centre for Assistance" based in Gaza and Kiryat Gat in Israel.
- British training operations in Israel will also be suspended.
