Jake Paul has played down the excitement surrounding a possible rematch with Tommy Fury, suggesting the fight no longer holds the same appeal.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer has repeatedly been linked with a second bout against Fury after their first meeting in 2023.

But according to Paul, several factors make a potential rematch less appealing than other fights currently on the table.

Jake Paul explains why he is not excited about the Tommy Fury rematch

Speaking in comments reported by TMZ, Paul admitted he is not particularly enthusiastic about revisiting the rivalry with Fury.

“I’m not really that hyped on it just because they’re just difficult to work with and he just doesn’t have anything going on,” Paul said.

The pair previously fought in February 2023 in Saudi Arabia, where Fury handed Paul the first defeat of his professional boxing career.

Despite ongoing talk of a rematch since that bout, negotiations have yet to produce a confirmed second fight.

Paul’s latest comments suggest the logistical challenges of making the fight happen have cooled his interest.

Jake Paul claims he has bigger fight options than Tommy Fury

Paul also hinted that other potential opponents currently make more sense for his career.

“I’m the only big fight for him, the only payday for him, and at the end of the day, I have people like Francis Ngannou, and the list goes on of all these people that wanna fight me,” Paul added.

The American boxer pointed out that several high-profile names have expressed interest in facing him, giving him multiple options for his next bout.

With potential matchups against crossover stars and combat sports heavyweights being discussed, Paul suggested he may prioritize fights that generate greater interest.

For now, that means a rematch with Fury is far from guaranteed despite the lingering rivalry between the two fighters.
