The Prince and Princess of Wales surprised Sir Kevin Sinfield as he completed the third day of his seven-day ultra-marathon challenge in Wakefield on Tuesday ( 29 September).
The royal couple watched the former Leeds Rhinos player arrive at the DIY Kitchens Stadium after running from York as part of his fundraising challenge in memory of his former teammate Rob Burrow, who died in 2024 after four years living with motor neurone disease (MND).
Kate told Sir Kevin his efforts were “inspiring”, while Prince William praised his achievements.
Sir Kevin is running between all 12 Super League grounds in England, finishing at Old Trafford in Manchester.
He and his team have raised more than £11 million for the MND community since his first annual challenge in 2020.
