Woman found dead in Kuala Kangsar home; two men arrested over suspected murder following a reported misunderstanding
IPOH: A woman was found dead in a pool of blood in the living room of a house in Kampung Cheh Kati, Kuala Kangsar this afternoon.
Kuala Kangsar police chief ACP Heisham Harun said a report was lodged at 2.38 pm after the victim’s family found her lying face down and unconscious inside the house.
He said police subsequently arrested two men believed to be related to the victim and suspected to be linked to the case.
“Initial investigations found that the incident was believed to have stemmed from a misunderstanding between the victim and the suspects.
“Police also found a knife believed to have been used as the weapon,” he said in a statement tonight.
Heisham said the victim’s body was sent to the Taiping Hospital Forensic Department for a post-mortem, adding that the two suspects would be brought to court tomorrow for a remand application.
