Woman hurt in Ranau crash

RANAU: A 35-year old woman suffered minor injury after she lost control of the 4x4 vehicle she was driving, near here on Sunday.

Ranau Fire and rescue Department Chief, Ridwan Mohd Taib said, the incident happened at Kampung Liwagu Jalan Melisou, Kundasang, Ranau at about 8.50pm.

“We received an emergency call from other motorists informing that there was an accident involving a Toyota Hilux vehicle that skidded on the shoulder of the road.

“We then rushed a team of four personnel led by PBK II KUP Farro Rynson along with an FRT engine to the scene that was located about 15 kilometers from the fire station.

“Upon arriving at the scene, our team found that there was one victim who was then successfully removed by our team,” he said.

Ridwan said the EMRS team acted to provide initial treatment, before the Ambulance sent the victim to the Ranau Hospital for further treatment.
