
LAHAD DATU: A woman in her 50s was killed while three others were seriously injured in a collision involving two vehicles along Jalan Lahad Datu-Tawau, here, on Monday.
The woman was travelling in a Proton Saga with four other people when it collided with a four-wheel- drive (4WD) at 3.30pm.
A State Fire and Rescue Department spokesperson said a five-member team from the Lahad Datu Fire and Rescue Station rushed to the scene some 38km from the station after receiving a distress call at 3.35pm via MERS999.
Upon arrival, the spokesman said, a child victim from the Proton Saga had been taken to the hospital.

The injured were given initial treatment by the Emergency Medical Rescue Service (EMRS) team before they were sent to the hospital for further treatment.
