LAHAD DATU: A woman died and two men were injured when a car skidded off the road near the District Police Headquarters roundabout early this morning.
The Fire and Rescue Department said it received a distress call at 4.42am and a team of nine firefighters arrived within minutes.
Two men, aged 28 and 31, managed to exit the Perodua Bezza before rescuers arrived, while the 19-year-old woman passenger was trapped inside.
Firefighters used rescue equipment to free the woman, but she was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.
The injured men were taken to hospital for treatment, and the case has been handed over to the police for further action.
