TAWAU: A 69-year-old female pedestrian was killed after a motorcycle allegedly crashed into her at Batu 3, Jalan Apas, around 4.30pm, Tuesday.

Tawau District Police Chief ACP Jasmin Hussin said police are now looking for the female motorcyclist to facilitate investigations.

The female motorcyclist is said to have fled in a white Perodua Axia after the accident.

The elderly victim succumbed to her injuries on the spot.

Initial findings showed the incident involved two motorcycles.

One of the motorcyclists, a 19-year-old male, was alleged to have slammed into the road barrier in order to avoid crashing into the elderly pedestrian who was crossing the road.

He looked back as he lifted his motorcycle and saw the senior lying near a yellow motorcycle ridden by a female motorcyclist who left in a white Perodua Axia.
