Yasin Ayari admits his first months with Brighton have gone far beyond expectations.

Ayari left the Allsvenskan and AIK for the Premier League and Brighton at the end of January.

The 19-year-old midfielder has already made his Premier League debut.

"(Roberto) De Zerbi was the biggest reason why I came here. I know that even if I don't play, I will improve a lot in training. In the short time I've been here, it feels like I've become a new player," he told Sportbladet.

"That's why I came to this club. Because I know what they do with young players especially. As you say, Caicedo came here and nobody knew who he was. Now he is one of the league's best centre-midfielders, so they are doing a great job.

"I don't usually dream, I usually live in the present. I obviously have big goals, to play in the biggest leagues. But it will take time, I'm not stressing. Everyone around me knows how good I am and I myself know how good I am. I have no stress when it comes to that. If I get my time to develop and play, it will explode."
