10 domestic flights disrupted due to bad weather, aircraft on ground

MANILA, Philippines — At least 10 domestic flights at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) were canceled on Thursday due to bad weather and "aircraft on ground" status, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) announced.

The affected flights include:

Terminal 2

PAL Express 2P2006/2P2007 (Manila-Cauayan-Manila) – Canceled due to unfavorable weather at both origin and destination.

Terminal 3

Cebu Pacific 5J 381/5J 382 (Manila-Cagayan de Oro-Manila) – Canceled due to aircraft on ground status.

Cebu Pacific 5J487/5J488 (Manila-Bacolod-Manila) – Canceled due to aircraft on ground status.

Cebu Pacific 5J504/5J505 (Manila-Tuguegarao-Manila) – Canceled due to bad weather.

Cebu Pacific 5J506/5J 507 (Manila-Tuguegarao-Manila) – Canceled due to bad weather.

The aviation regulator added that at least 1,660 passengers were affected by the flight disruptions.

The airline was unavailable for comment concerning the grounded aircraft.
