MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) on Wednesday announced the return of 12 human trafficking survivors from Cambodia at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1. In a statement, the DMW said the Filipinos arrived in the country through Philippine Airlines Flight PR 2622. DMW Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac was with the 12 Filipinos, following his visit to Cambodia, where he led the opening of the Migrant Workers Office in the Southeast Asian nation. He assured the victims that the government would provide them with “opportunities to help them successfully reintegrate into their lives in the Philippines.” “We will help provide you with different options to earn an income and support your family, so that you will not have to return to Cambodia,” Cacdac told the returning Filipinos.
