127 pints collected for Lahad Datu, Kunak hospitals

LAHAD DATU: A total of 127 pints of blood were collected at a blood donation campaign hosted by the Lahad Datu Flour Mill (LDFM) at Darvel Bay Plaza.

LDFM General Manager, Foo Jen Wei said, the programme which was part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) was held in collaboration with the Blood Transfusion unit of Lahad Datu and Kunak Hospitals.

Jen Wei said, the programme aimed to replenish the hospital’s Blood Bank.

“We are pleased and thankful as the campaign went well with encouraging attendance of the public.

“The event was an overwhelming success, collecting 127 pints of blood, contributing significantly to the local Blood Bank and potentially saving countless lives,” said Jen Wei, who also present at the campaign to show his support.

According to Jen Wei, this campaign reflects LDFM’s ongoing commitment to community welfare and public health.

He said, this campaign was also part of their efforts to give back to the community and encourage more people to help people in need.

“The company extend our heartfelt gratitude to all donors and partners who made this meaningful event possible,” he added.
