
PENAMPANG: Any approved development project in Sabah listed under the 13th Malaysia Plan (2026-2030) will be procured through the tender process to ensure effective implementation.
Minister of Entrepreneurship Development and Co-operative Datuk Ewon Benedick, who will be chairing a special monitoring committee meeting monthly to address about 400 sick projects in Sabah, said he supported such move so as to identify and select only companies or contractors with stable financial capacity to implement projects.

Ewon cited reports stating financial constraints faced by contractors that caused affected progress in some projects.

“Previously only after the project list is submitted and approved are land matters addressed. These caused delays in project commencement.
