14 Filipino seafarers repatriated from Oman after missile incident

MANILA, Philippines — Fourteen Filipino seafarers aboard MT Acheloos were repatriated from Oman after a missile incident on July 20, 2026.

In a statement on Monday, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) said the seafarers safely left the vessel at Shinas Port in Oman before being transported to Muscat International Airport on August 9 for their return to the Philippines.

The Migrant Workers Office in Muscat, the Philippine Embassy in Oman and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration assisted the seafarers.

The 14 seafarers left Muscat on August 9 aboard Qatar Airways flight QR1125 and were scheduled to connect in Doha to flight QR932 bound for Manila on August 10, DMW said.

They were scheduled to arrive at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
