Kota Kinabalu: Sabah recorded 160 Coivid-19 cases on Tuesday, a marginal increase from 159 on Monday.
Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said although there was a higher number of test samples, which was 2,508 on Tuesday compared to 1,658 the day before, the caseload did not increase due to a lower positivity rate.
“The positivity rate on Tuesday is 7.30 per cent, which is far lower compared to 9.65 per cent on Monday,” he said in a statement, Tuesday.
Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 44 cases, followed by Tuaran (16), Beaufort (14), Tawau (13), Tambunan (11) and Penampang (10).
“Six districts did not record any new infections, including Semporna, Pitas, Kunak and Kalabakan which previously registered new infections,” said Masidi.
He said 157 out of 160 cases were category one and two infections, while three cases were recorded in category four.
No deaths or new clusters were identified.
