The police have arrested two youths on the charge of snatching. The cops recovered a stolen mobile phone from them and impounded the two-wheeler used in the crime.

The accused have been identified as Prince and Mantu, both natives of Azamgarh in UP and currently living in a rented house at Zirakpur.

A resident of Panchkula had reported that on the morning of June 7, he was passing near the Golf Club in Sector 3 when two scooter-borne youths asked him to stop. One of them grabbed him from behind while the other snatched his mobile phone from his pocket. The police arrested the accused from the Peer Muchhalla area the same day.

A theft case was already registered against Mantu in the MDC police station area in 2022.
