
Kota Kinabalu: A total of 280 youngsters participated in the Road to Majlis Sukan Sekolah Sabah (MSSS) 2025 Chess Championship, which concluded after two days of intense competition here.
The event, which began on Feb 15, brought together young chess talents from across Sabah and featured eight categories, divided into Under-9, Under-12, Under-15 and Under-18, with separate divisions for boys and girls.

For the girls’ categories, the winners are (Under-9) Nur Aulia Ramadhani Junaidi from Papar, (Under-12) Melissa Wong from Papar, (Under-15) Aleesya Zahra Sh Mohd Asri from Labuan and (Under-18) Aurelia Gwyneth Ebon Gansoi from Tuaran.
