KOTA KINABALU: A new culinary experience has been unveiled with the launch of the Kota Kinabalu Food Trail, featuring 29 restaurants that capture the city’s unique flavours and vibrant food culture.

Introduced by the Sabah Tourism Board in collaboration with the Sabah Chefs Association, the trail guides visitors and locals to eateries that represent Sabah’s diverse gastronomy.

Sabah Tourism Board Chairman Datuk Joniston Bangkuai presented plaques of recognition to the participating restaurants during the launch at Hyatt Regency Kinabalu on Monday, witnessed by city and tourism leaders.

The initiative aims to boost gastronomy tourism and highlight food as a core part of the Sabah experience, complementing the state’s cultural and natural attractions.

The trail’s first phase covers 29 eateries, with plans to expand to Sandakan and Tawau in future phases to showcase Sabah’s culinary diversity across the state.
