In the accident, two women, Chandni (28), a resident of Pinhat, Ram Kranti (19), a resident of Surajmal Pura, Shamshabad and three-year-old Mridul, a resident of Jorbajariya in Agra, were killed.

A three-year-old boy and two women riding in a loading auto died on the spot, while four others were seriously injured after a speeding truck hit the auto from behind on the Delhi-Alwar road under Rojka-Meo police station area in Nuh district in the wee hours on Saturday.

The truck driver fled the scene with the vehicle after the accident. An FIR was registered at the Rojka-Meo police station.

According to the police, around 14 people from various villages in the Agra district in Uttar Pradesh were returning from a wedding ceremony in Palam, Delhi. All were travelling in an open-top loading auto. At around 2:15 am, as their auto reached the Delhi-Alwar Road in the Rojka Meo police station area, a speeding truck hit the auto from behind.

According to eyewitnesses, the impact was so severe that the auto was dragged several feet on the road.

In the accident, two women, Chandni (28), a resident of Pinhat, Ram Kranti (19), a resident of Surajmal Pura, Shamshabad and three-year-old Mridul, a resident of Jorbajariya in Agra, were killed.

Preeti, Archana, four-year-old Tamanna and Ram Niwas were seriously injured. Tamanna was admitted to Medical College Nalhar, while Preeti, Archana and Ramniwas were referred to Delhi AIIMS as their condition was critical.
