
SEMPORNA: The Marine Police Force (MPF) seized 850kg cooking oil which was found abandoned at the Kampung Kuala Bibang jetty, here on Friday.
Prior to the discovery, acting on information from the public, a team of MPF personnel went to the coastal area in Kampung Kuala Bibang about 9pm.
Upon arrival, the team found 50 boxes of cooking oil abandoned on the jetty in suspicious condition.
After a few hours of surveillance and seeing no individuals came to claimed the goods, the team confiscated the items.

The offence, he said, was committed under Control of Supplies Act 1961.
He added that, the items believed bound for a neighbouring country were handed over to Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDNKSH) for further action.
