Ajax sports chief Marc Overmars has cooled talk of a swap move for Barcelona striker Luis Suarez.
Suarez has been linked with a return to Ajax after he was informed by new coach Ronald Koeman he was unwanted for the new season.
Overmars refused to rule out signing Suarez, though denied reports of a swap involving Donny van der Beek.
"Let me be clear on this: the possibility of Suárez coming is very small," he said. "It is something that makes sense and you have to try it."
On Van de Beek, Overmars added: "I don't know anything about that, they haven't put that offer on my plate."
