Food aid gets underway

KUNAK: Some 1,120 food baskets will be distributed to three villages – Kampung Pangkalan, Kampung Bagiang, and Kampung Kunak Tiga Laut, within the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) area, here. 

Kunak Disaster Operations Command Centre chairman Majaran Osman said the first phase of aid distribution by the State Government began on Saturday.

“In the first phase, some 403 food baskets were distributed to villagers in Kampung Pangkalan,” he said. Majaran who is also District Officer said, the aid distribution will also be assisted by Rela, Civil Defence Force, and the police.
