Beware of Typhoon Goni, Sabahans told

Kota Kinabalu: People residing near river banks and low-lying areas in Sabah are reminded to take extra precautionary measures ahead of the forecast landfall of super Typhoon Goni in neighbouring Philippines today (Sunday).

Likewise, the State Government is reminded to prepare all the necessary measures to ensure the safety of people and property in the event some areas in the State experience the tail of the powerful typhoon in the Philippines.

The Duterte administration has on Saturday ordered more than 200,000 people to evacuate their homes as the most powerful typhoon of the year so far barrels towards the country.
