Esscom intensifies patrol against entry of illegals

KALABAKAN: The “Op Cegah Pati (OCP) Daratan” that has been enforced since last April has been extended to the Wakuba coastal area here which is seen as a hotspot for entry by illegal immigrants.

Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) Commander DCP Datuk Ahmad Fuad Othman (pic) said the OCP Daratan land patrol team was being expanded to other areas to curb the influx of illegal foreigners.

He said the OCP Daratan operation was beginning to show the results of its success in controlling the entry of illegal immigrants and smuggling of contraband items into the area.
