De Boer endured a muted start to his reign after a loss to Mexico and three draws.
But he finally got his maiden win, as the Dutch defeated Bosnia-Herzegovina 3-1 in the UEFA Nations League.
Wijnaldum popped up with two goals in the first 13 minutes of the match in Holland.
Smail Prevljak gave Bosnia-Herzegovina hope, but the Dutch got another goal from Memphis Depay to seal the win.
