Kota Kinabalu: The State Government will not be providing allocations or ‘outright grants’ to Village Development and Security Committees (JPKK) for the purpose of ‘gotong-royong’ activities.

Rural Development Minister Datuk Jahid Jahim (pic) said his Ministry had previously allocated RM10,000 in grants to every Village Community Management Council (MPKK), but it was discontinued since last year.

“My Ministry is still awaiting the results of the appeal to resume the grant distribution,” he said during question time at the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting, here.
