416 lots of land in Tungku surveyed till Nov

ON land issues raised by Assaffal who asked for the land surveying through the Sabah Native Land Services (Pantas) Programme in Tungku to be continued, Abidin said a total of 416 lots of lands settled by natives in 11 villages in Tungku have been surveyed from September last year to November 30 this year, involving 493,774 hectares (or 1,220.14 acres) and surveying works by the Lands and Surveys Department are still continuing until today.

He said next year, two more villages namely Kampung Sungai Merah and Kampung Senakut in the said constituency will be processed for the purpose of land surveying under the Pantas Programme. 

On the issue raised by Kadamaian Assemblyman Datuk Ewon Benedick, Abidin said 353 lots involving 231.66 ha (518.44 acres) had been fully surveyed in Kampung Kiau, Kota Belud, from September last year to June this year.

And for next year, he said the State Government through the Lands and Surveys Department will implement Pantas surveying in two more villages namely Kampung Tambatuon and Kampung Tomis Jaya Mayamut with projected lots of 200 and 300, respectively.
