e-IWKS as benchmark for wellbeing of women

Kota Kinabalu: Community Development and People’s Wellbeing Ministry has set a target of 80 per cent as an average index under e-IWKS (e-Indeks Kesejahteraan Wanita Sabah) system as a benchmark for women’s wellbeing in Sabah, to be achieved next year.

Its Minister Shahelmey Yahya said e-IWKS is a system that specifically focuses on the wellbeing of women in Sabah that was set up and coordinated by Sabah Women Advisory Council (MPWS) and Sabah Women’s Affairs Department (Jhewa).

He said the efforts to develop e-IWKS started in 2018 and was successfully completed this year in the form of a system.

“The need for the formation of this system is in line with the development and era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 which uses electronic media and digital innovation in almost all activities of daily life.
