Aston Villa are planning a surprising transfer swoop for Burnley forward Chris Wood.
The Midlands club want to sign a new centre-forward to boost manager Dean Smith's attacking options.
According to Football Insider, Villa are among three clubs in the top-12 of the Premier League that want to sign Wood.
The report also states that Burnley will hope to receive at least £30 million for Wood, who is 29 years old.
The forward scored 12 goals in 33 league appearances for a very defensive Burnley side.
