Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer has sent his well wishes to Eddie Howe.
Howe was appointed as Newcastle manager on Monday after signing a contract until 2024.
And former Toon striker Shearer has wished Howe luck in his new role.
He tweeted: "Welcome. Good luck Eddie. We all hope you can bring us some much needed drive and ambition."
