Kota Kinabalu: The State Government on Monday assured that it will always be firm in its claim for oil and gas–related rights for the benefit of the people.
State Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said he would not be lenient in safeguarding Sabah’s interests to ensure the State was entitled to benefits from the oil and gas industry.
“About gas, don’t worry. I am not that smart…I am just a villager, a Dusun from Ranau, ‘orang bukit’ (people from the hills), but I can tell you that during the entire negotiations, I held my head high.
