Covid-19: 5,899 new cases, deaths down to single digit

PETALING JAYA: The Health Ministry reported five Covid-19 deaths yesterday.

The death toll now stands at 35,470.

Four of the deaths was classified as brought-in-dead (BID) case.

Selangor recorded three deaths, followed by Sabah and Sarawak with one each.

There were no deaths in the other states and federal territories.

Meanwhile, the ministry also reported 5,899 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the cumulative infections to 4,415,101.
