Kota Kinabalu: Community Development and People’s Wellbeing Minister Datuk Shahelmey Yahya encourages all departments and agencies under his Ministry to instil integrity in order to improve service quality.
While acknowledging that nurturing integrity requires a high level of dedication, he said his Ministry has revised its Anti-Corruption Plan Book to align with the National Anti-Corruption Plan 2019-2023 by restructuring priority areas.
This, he noted, includes new initiatives to improve the Ministry’s service delivery system’s effectiveness.
“A variety of content has been prepared to offer all Ministry employees exposure to and awareness of integrity.
“Everyone in the Ministry must commit to ensure that the programmes are implemented successfully and that the Ministry’s goal of disseminating integrity programmes to all target groups is met,” he said.
Shahelmey said this when officiating the Ministry Level 2022 Integrity Week and launching of the Ministry’s Anti-Corruption Plan Book (updated version) 2022–2026 at his office, here, Monday.
Shahelmey believed the decision to review the Ministry’s Anti-Corruption Plan will improve planning, implementation and monitoring of integrity values.
“I urge everyone in the Ministry to work together as a team to improve our services,” he said.
Also present were his Assistant Minister Datuk Julita Majungki and the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary Datuk Lee Chun Khiong.
