Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s new Covid-19 infections remained at 14 cases on Monday.

Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun, in a statement Monday, said the position in all districts has not changed much.

He said the change in the number of new infections, either up or down, is small.

“Monday’s figures for 16 of the 27 districts in Sabah remain similar to Sunday’s. Eighteen districts did not record any new infections in the last 24 hours,” he added.

Masidi said the double celebrations of Aidilfitri and Kaamatan will be a testing ground for the extent to which the community is willing to practise high discipline in complying with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other healthcare recommendations.

“The attitude of the community while celebrating these two festivals will determine whether we are able to maintain the current low daily infection rate or allow cases to rise again from the complacent attitude of the community to the need to comply with all SOPs,” he said.

A total of 13 out of 14 Covid-19 patients on Monday are in Category One and Two, while one is in Category Three. No patients were reported in Category Four and Five.
