Emi Buendia admits he had a tough first season with Aston Villa.
Buendia, 26, arrived for a club record fee of £33 million last summer from Norwich City. The loss of their talisman would lead to a tough adjustment period for the club which in-turn resulted in a disrupted start for Buendia in claret and blue.
The Argentine posted to social media: "We finished a season that was tough at times but incredible at many others. I have really enjoyed Villa Park and I have been able to feel how special it is to play with these fans.
"It has been my first year and I'm so happy to be here.
"I have also had the incredible pride of marking my debut for my country. A dream come true. Now it's time to disconnect and come back stronger next season. Thank you all so much for the support - see you soon!"
