KOTA MARUDU: An elderly man who went missing from his farm in Kg Mangkaluah on Wednesday was found safe in a neighbouring village in Kg Bambangan on Thursday.
Tungang Ingong, 80, disappeared from his farm and was discovered the next day by villagers from another village.
Kota Marudu Fire and Rescue Station Chief Rony Sikawan said they received an emergency call at 9.59am on Thursday.
“A team led by Jakri Bahar hurried to the area immediately after receiving the call,” he said.
He said based on information obtained from villagers, the elderly man’s absence was only noticed at 4.30pm on Wednesday.
The operation was completed around 12.20pm on Thursday, and the old man was safely returned to his family.
