Valencia midfielder Fran Villalba is signing for Birmingham City today.
AS says the 21 year-old is undergoing a medical at St Andrew's ahead of signing for the Blues in a free transfer.
Valencia will retain a percentage of the transfer rights, with Birmingham to pay 2m should they win promotion. They will also be due a hefty percentage of any sell on fee.
Key to the deal is the presence of Blues manager Pep Clotet, who has driven the move.
Villalba is expected to complete the move today.
