Leicester City are reading to offer Rachid Ghezzal in an attempt to sign Dennis Praet from Sampdoria.
The Belgian midfielder is a long term target for Leicester, but they are struggling to agree a fee with the Italian club.
Underperforming star Ghezzal is a possible makeweight in a cash plus player deal, per Gazzetta dello Sport.
Praet is also linked to AC Milan, while the fact that Italian clubs can negotiate deals until after the Premier League transfer window also working against Leicester.
It will be a race against time to get a deal done before midnight on Thursday.
