The prospect of a hung Parliament looms after GE15.

No single party may have enough seats to command the majority in the Dewan Rakyat to form a new government.

Therefore, there will be attempts to establish new alliances to gain enough numbers in the 222 seat Dewan Rakyat to form a government.

Perhaps Tun Mahathir's prophecy of a non partisan coalition government composed of all parties might yet come true this time around.

We are not in a position to foretell how these alliances would occur or which parties would be inclined to merge with one another to form a government of the day.

However, a coalition of sorts will happen to govern this country after GE15 even a non partisan government touted by Tun Mahathir a while back.

All political observers are united in making this forecast.

But the question is who will be the most acceptable to lead this new coalition and the government that will be formed.

The expected contenders for the PM's post are Zahid Hamidi, Muhyiddin Yassin, Mahathir and Anwar who are most likely to be rejected by each component party in the new coalition simply because of a lack of faith in them for what has happened in the past, too long to be recounted here.

Zahid might be replaced by Ismail Sabri Yaakob, the poster boy touted by his party president before the election was announced.

Below them are their lieutenants Mohamad Hassan, Azmin Ali, Mukriz and Rafizi respectively.

But all are likely to be unacceptable to all component parties because of one reason or another.

Then they would go down the list and names like KJ would emerge.

He would be automatically shot down by people in Mahathir's and Anwar's camps for some past history just like those in the group above.

Besides, KJ might not even have a seat now that Rembau is claimed by Mohamed Hassan. (FMT)

At the same time, Mohammed Hassan, the deputy president of UMNO would then be in a tussle with Ismail should Zahid be forced out by his own peers for being a liability as exemplified by a recent speech at MIC General Assembly where he allegedly accepted guilt for himself and on behalf of other leaders of BN present.

Our contention is that a person not mentioned in the above list would emerge as a likely candidate to lead the nation.

He would be, for want of a better term, a "compromised candidate" that all parties would be inclined to accept for his neutrality, independent thinking, fairness, experience in previous governments and leadership abilities that cannot be matched by those in the above list.

He would be seen as a possible leader worthy to hold the post of the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia.

Above all the gentlemen in question would be able to lead us out of the current economic quagmire, address our falling ringgit and restore the confidence of foreign investors in our country.

Only he can lead us to the promised land!

I am sure you are going through the list of potential candidates for PM 10 like we are doing right now.

He has yet to win the election in his own constituency before making his way to Parliament in 2023.

In the meantime, keep searching.

Keep going down a list of 222 possible MPs who will be thinking like you and I are doing to find the right man that fits the bill to be PM10.

We await his arrival as we would for the coming of the Messiah to save this land.
