MANILA, Philippines — The Adamson Lady Falcons bounced back from their 5-set loss to the DLSU Lady Spikers and closed out their first round campaign with a 25-18, 25-16, 25-19 sweep of the UP Fighting Maroons in the UAAP Season 88 women's volleyball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena Sunday.
Frances Mordi logged seven excellent digs, five receptions, and 17 points including the last two for Adamson, which elevated to 4-3 for a 3-way tie with FEU and UST in third place.
Shai Nitura aided Mordi with 14 points, four digs, and four receptions as the Lady Falcons handed the Fighting Maroons their third straight loss.
Joan Monares racked up seven points, five receptions, and three digs for UP which dropped to 3-4 for fifth place.
