As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India and under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Rahul, training on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists was conducted for ALMTs, sector supervisors and technical staff of all Assembly constituencies in the district at the District Administrative Complex.
The training was conducted under the supervision of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development)-cum-State Level Master Trainer (SIR), Surinder Singh. All ALMTs, sector supervisors, and technical staff from 021-Tarn Taran, 022-Khemkaran, 023-Patti, and 024-Khadur Sahib Assembly constituencies attended the programme.
During the session, the District Level Master Trainer imparted detailed training regarding the SIR process, which is scheduled to commence on June 25.
On the occasion, Tehsildar Elections Inderjit Singh, Election Kanungo Dilbagh Singh, master trainers Yadwinder Singh, Gurpreetpal Singh, Hardil Aziz and Ranjit Singh, programmer Gurpreet Singh, along with officers and employees of the Election Office, were present.
