
Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso, with Vice Mayor Chi Atienza, inspects the Parola compound to assess the damage caused by a fire on May 23, 2026. Meanwhile, residents look for salvageable materials from their burnt homes. The fire, which started around 3 p.m., reached Task Force Charlie and was declared out at 12:15 a.m. on May 24. An estimated 2,134 families all displaced by the fire and are now at designated evacuation centers.
